CLEVELAND, Ohio – Case Western Reserve students living in Stephanie Tubbs Jones Hall are on the front lines of an emerging technology that may one day be commonplace in the average household.

Five washing machines in the dorm’s laundry room have been fitted with filtering devices that remove microplastics from the wastewater generated during the wash cycle.
